Add Guild Hall to your Discord

The Guild Hall bot posts your club and store events straight into a Discord channel. No copy-pasting, no missed game nights. Add it once, connect a channel, and recurring series announce automatically. Publish individual events with one click.

Read the steps below before you add the bot.

Setup is four steps, not one. Adding the bot to your server connects nothing by itself: it sits silent until you run /guildhall setup in a channel and tie that channel to a Guild Hall club or store. Adding first and configuring afterwards is fine, but the configuring is not optional.

You also need a club or store on Guild Hall to connect the channel to, and you need to be its owner or manager. Start a club or add a store if you don’t have one yet.

How to set it up

Four steps, about five minutes. Steps 1 and 2 can be done in either order. Steps 3 and 4 are the ones that actually turn the announcements on, so the setup is not finished until you have done both.

    Have a club or store on Guild Hall

    A Discord channel is always connected to one Guild Hall club or store, because that is where its events come from. You need to be that club or store’s owner or manager. If yours is not on Guild Hall yet, create it first.

    Add the bot to your server

    Use the "Add to Discord" button. You’ll need the "Manage Server" permission on the Discord server you’re adding it to. On its own this step does nothing visible: the bot joins quietly and stays silent until step 4.

    Run /guildhall setup in the channel

    Go to the channel you want event announcements to appear in and run the /guildhall setup command. Only Discord server admins can run it. The bot replies privately with a link that already has your server and channel filled in.

    Open that link and pick your club or store

    The link opens the Connect page, where you sign in and choose the club or store, plus an optional timezone, single game, and role to ping. Only after this does the channel start receiving events: recurring series announce one session at a time automatically, and one-off events publish with a button from your event manager.

Don’t have a club or store yet?

Step 1 is the one people skip, and it blocks everything after it. The Connect page in step 4 has nothing to offer you until you own or manage a club or store, so set that up first. A club is a group that meets to play, wherever it meets. A store is a physical game shop. Pick whichever describes you now; you can add the other later if you need both.

Team invites by Discord handle

Club and store owners/managers can invite someone to their team by Discord handle from the management tools. The bot sends that person a direct message with Accept / Decline buttons. Accepting adds them to the team instantly. They’ll also see the invite on their Guild Hall dashboard, so they can accept there too. Don’t have a Guild Hall account yet? Approving in Discord reserves your spot, and it’s finalized the moment you sign in with that Discord account.
