Terms of Service: Guild Hall Discord Bot

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Guild Hall Discord application and bot (the "Bot"), which integrates the Dice and Decks Guild Hall service (https://ddguildhall.com, the "Service") with the Discord platform. The Bot is operated by Guillotine Life, the parent brand of Tinkavu LLC / Extra Turn Games ("we", "us", "our").

By inviting the Bot to a Discord server ("guild"), configuring it, or otherwise using its features, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not add or use the Bot.

These Terms are specific to the Discord Bot. Your use of the Discord platform itself is also governed by Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Use of the underlying website and accounts is additionally subject to our Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. What the Bot Does

The Guild Hall Bot lets game clubs and stores connect their Guild Hall presence to a Discord server. Its features include:

• Channel linking — an owner or manager of a Guild Hall club can bind a Discord channel to that club using the /guildhall setup command and the linking page at https://ddguildhall.com/discord/bind.
• Event announcements — once a channel is bound, the Bot automatically posts and updates announcements for that club's events (date, time, location, capacity, and related details).
• Account connection — players may optionally connect their Discord identity to a Guild Hall account so their participation is recognized across both.

Features may change, expand, or be removed over time.

2. Eligibility

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement for your country (at least 13 years old, or older where local law requires) to use the Bot. To bind a channel, you must be an owner or manager of the relevant Guild Hall club and have the necessary permissions in the Discord server. By configuring the Bot, you represent that you are authorized to do so for that server.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Bot for any unlawful, harmful, harassing, or abusive purpose.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Bot, the Service, or their infrastructure.
• Use the Bot to post spam, misleading event information, or content that violates Discord's policies or applicable law.
• Bind channels or post announcements for clubs or stores you are not authorized to represent.

We may remove the Bot from a server, disable features, or restrict access at any time if these Terms are violated or to protect the Service or its users.

4. Data We Process

To provide its features, the Bot processes a limited set of data:

• Discord identifiers — server (guild) IDs and channel IDs you bind, and the Discord user ID of members who connect their account.
• Configuration — which Guild Hall club a channel is linked to and announcement preferences.
• Event content — the event details that are published to bound channels.

The Bot does not read or store the general message content of your server. Our handling of this data is described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect a connected account at https://ddguildhall.com/me/connected-accounts, and removing the Bot from a server stops further processing for that server.

5. Availability and Changes

The Bot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that announcements will always post on time, as it depends on Discord's platform and our infrastructure. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot, in whole or in part, at any time.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Bot is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the Bot at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Guillotine Life, Tinkavu LLC, and their affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Bot.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your Discord server. We may suspend or terminate access to the Bot at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Your continued use of the Bot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
